About The Position

Join our team as a Shift Leader at the Winton Woods Campground! At Great Parks, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

This part time position works various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position supervises the campground personnel in performance of job duties and responsibilities. Will assign tasks, provide direction, and ensure quality, prompt and courteous service is given to all guests. Enforces work rules, such as dress and personal hygiene requirements and handles customer complaints while on duty. This position requires knowledge of customer service, cash handling skills, and coordinates efforts of staff to complete tasks. Refers unusual or difficult problems or situations to location manager.

Requirements

• An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• An example of an acceptable qualification is a high school degree or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets Great Parks current carrier guidelines.
• TIPS Alcohol Service Certification to be taken within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises campground personnel in performance of job duties and responsibilities.
• Assigns tasks, provides direction, and ensures quality, prompt and courteous service is given to all guests.
• Job requires knowledge of customer service and cash handling skills in coordinating efforts of staff to complete tasks.
• Oversees and assigns work Guest Experience Attendants II and III and Volunteer personnel.
• Provides prompt and courteous service to patrons of facility.
• Assists and oversees campground personnel.
• Utilizes good customer service and merchandising skills and assures staff is doing same.
• Sets up rented spaces; acts as room host/rental guest liaison and provides clean up assistance after event.
• Sets up, works, and monitors banquet and offsite picnic and special events.
• Rings up transactions on POS System.
• Maintains responsibility for daily cash flow and balances cash drawer at end of each shift, as directed.
• Assures correct cash handling procedures are being followed.
• Processes daily cash paperwork.
• Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
• Other duties as assigned.
