About The Position

Noah’s New York Bagels is a friendly gathering place serving fresh bagels, smiles, and chutzpah since 1989, committed to serving food you feel good about eating and ensuring work-life balance for its team, with stores closing at 2pm. The company is looking for a Shift Leader, a role compared to the cream cheese on a bagel, adding flavor and holding things together. Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to motivate the team, deliver a great guest experience, set morale, provide feedback, coach team members, and open and close the store with minimal supervision. They are responsible for ensuring food and beverage quality and maintaining a safe and clean store environment. This position offers opportunities for career growth, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience
• Take charge and set the morale and tone of the team
• Provide feedback and coach team members when needed
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision
• Ensure the quality of the food and beverages served
• Keep a safe and clean store environment
