About The Position

Noah’s New York Bagels, established in 1989, is a friendly gathering place committed to serving fresh-baked bagels and food that customers feel good about eating. The company also prioritizes work-life balance for its team, with stores closing at 2 PM, ensuring no evening or night shifts. The Shift Leader role is crucial, akin to the cream cheese on a bagel, adding flavor and holding the team together. Shift Leaders collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team, ensure a great guest experience, and set the team's morale and tone. They are empowered to provide feedback and coach team members, and are responsible for opening and closing the store with minimal supervision. The role also involves maintaining food and beverage quality and a safe, clean store environment. This position offers career growth opportunities, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience
• Take charge and set the morale and tone of the team
• Provide feedback and coach team members when needed
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision
• Ensure the quality of the food and beverages served
• Keep a safe and clean store environment
