About The Position

Step into leadership with The Arc Western Montana! We’re looking for compassionate, dependable people to join our team as Shift Leads, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. In this position, you’ll work directly with Clients, guide your teammates, and help keep our homes running smoothly during evening and weekend shifts. You won’t be managing a team, but you will be a key resource others rely on.

Requirements

Previous Direct Support Professional experience preferred but not required; experience in caregiving or as a CNA would also be relevant.
A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
A team player looking to take the next step in their career
Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

Support Clients with daily living activities like meals, hygiene, and medications
Model best practices for other staff and help maintain consistent, high-quality care
Assist with community outings, social events, and skill-building activities
Provide on-the-job training to DSPs in areas like vitals, oxygen use, medications, and engagement
Maintain accurate documentation and program data
Help bridge communication between shifts to support continuity of care
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment for Clients

Benefits

Starting rate of $17.00 an hour
Increase to $19 an hour upon successful completion of paid training and certifications
Full-time, 40 hour per week schedules available
