Over site of workers in other areas on the shift. Weekend shift hours are Fri, Sat, Sun 6am - 6pm work 36 hours get paid for 40.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform all duties in area of oversight and fill in or help out as necessary
  • Ability to provide direction
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3 – 5years of experience as a lead and/ /or oversight of a technically advanced area of production with the ability to perform and train all job duties in area.
  • Ability to perform inspection duties of area of oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that operators complete job duties on time while maintaining a steady flow of work
  • Support and champion CFM and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Facilitate the training of employees per Altek’s training requirements
  • Maintain and update the Takt board as necessary
  • Review and understand the production/shipping schedule(s)
  • Provide guidance and instruction to operators to improve competence
  • Schedule, conduct, & document meetings with line operators at least twice per week
  • Perform all normal job functions & duties of your area
  • Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
  • Responsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications and procedures
  • Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
  • Monitor associates’ productivity and make adjustments as needed to improve throughput
  • Inform supervisors of any existing and/or potential employee issues
  • Backup to supervisor in absence of area supervisor.
