About the position

The position involves opening and closing the store in the absence of management, ensuring all systems are operational, handling cash, and preparing the store for business. Responsibilities include managing deliveries, processing returns, and providing customer service. The role requires engaging with customers, resolving issues, and modeling best practices in customer service. Additionally, the position involves operational tasks such as managing inventory, pricing, and compliance with regulations, as well as assisting with training and communication within the team.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management.
• Handle cash and ensure the store is ready for business.
• Manage deliveries and product returns.
• Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices.
• Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
• Register all sales accurately on the cash register.
• Assist in evaluating and developing displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with pricing regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and appearance.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Communicate tasks to team members in the absence of management.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
