We are looking for a Shift Lead, Technical Support to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Manager, Technical Support and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. Bloom Energy's mission is to make clean, reliable energy affordable for everyone in the world. Requirements

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently in a high pressure environment
  • 3+ Years experience working with DCS / SCADA environment
  • Demonstrated self-initiative and sound judgment
  • Technical knowledge in electrochemistry or Fuel cell operation
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID, plumbing and valve operation
  • Knowledge with safely working with fuels (natural gas, propane & hydrogen)
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft office with proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization as the customer advocate in a verbal and written manner
  • Understanding of AC & DC power electronic technology

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Control Center Operations Specialists
  • Respond to system alarms to perform initial system actions
  • Remote monitoring of deployed fleet of units and final customer testing
  • Prepare formal documentation and training material for system operations
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop tools and automation
  • Analyze and identify root cause of system inefficiencies or failure
  • Manage and resolve customer performance/other issues
  • Mentor and train Control Center Operations Specialists
