We are looking for an experienced Shift/Team Lead to join our Fort Worth Distribution Center. In this role you will be responsible for leading personnel and organizing activities of the shift team to ensure effective and efficient processing, shipping, storage and issuance of materials throughout the warehouse. We are looking for individuals who have the flexibility to work varying shifts, as shift times and patterns can change based on business needs. We are currently hiring for the below shifts: Continental Day shifts: 6:00am - 6:15pm. Continental Night shifts: 6:00pm to 6:15am.

  • Review daily shipment schedule and work with the supervisor to plan and prioritize daily work schedule to meet requirements.
  • Attend shift change meetings to discuss upcoming activities, any safety issues, or special truck loading configuration as requested by customers and prepare shipping documents.
  • Lead team members in conducting daily safety checks on forklift trucks, restraining systems and maintenance needs of all equipment.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to subordinate personnel to develop their job skills.
  • Act as a backup CDL driver as needed. Responsible for training any new CDL drivers.
  • Assist team members with any issues or difficulties with locating specified lot and product numbers.
  • Ship and receive materials with proper documentation prepared for accountability.
  • Ensure all equipment is returned to the designated charging station and prepared for daily (overnight) charge.
  • Note any safety or maintenance issues for supervisor's attention.
  • Lead by example and challenge, inspire teams to support the delivery of the Distribution/Warehousing/Logistics Plan.
  • Ensure employees adhere to legal, ethical and operational compliance requirements.
  • Set expectations for training and development of team directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
  • Provide coaching, direction and leadership support to employees in order to achieve employee, company and customer results.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and general occupational safety standards, quality specifications, local and governmental environmental requirements.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must have active CDL.
  • Minimum 2 years previous shift lead or supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 4 or more years direct experience with warehousing, shipping and receiving terms and preparations.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems.
  • Forklift Certification as well as JLG lifts qualification required.
  • Ability to delegate effectively, act with integrity and trust.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Able to demonstrate safe work habits and good work ethics.
