About The Position

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Leader/Crafter works with the bakery managers, other shift leaders and guest service representatives to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment, and superior guest experience. The Shift Lead/Crafter applies the finishing decorative touches to our frosted cakes and assembles orders to ensure accuracy and the highest-quality presentation for our guests. Following strict proprietary methods and food safety standards, the Shift Lead/Crafter customizes cake and balloon orders with the appropriate decorations and packaging based on each guest's unique celebratory occasion. The Crafter embodies NbC core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to guest satisfaction as well as excellence and efficiency in the workplace. A shift leader will also assist with the opening and/or closing of the bakery including balancing of the drawers and deposits. The Shift Lead shares in team leadership and collaborates with the Bakery Manager and other Shift Leads in executing day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests.

Requirements

Demonstrates an unwavering guest focus and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, empower and motivate a team
Has the ability to delegate tasks, communicate clear expectations, direct others’ work and manage performance in absence of the bakery manager
Is highly organized and resourceful, can balance multiple priorities in a high volume atmosphere
Demonstrates strong learning agility, with a passion to grow and excel
High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus
1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities
Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals
Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands

Responsibilities

Create the highest-quality cakes
Apply the finishing decorative touches to our frosted cakes
Assemble orders to ensure accuracy and the highest-quality presentation for our guests
Customize cake and balloon orders with the appropriate decorations and packaging based on each guest's unique celebratory occasion
