Basic Job Functions: The role of the electrician will require you to demonstrate a high level of honesty, integrity, and ownership while demonstrating enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and the ability to be a team player. This position will require working in confined spaces, elevated levels, climbing ladders and stairs, all while working in hot and cold environments. The qualified applicant must be willing to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled, and unscheduled overtime as well as ensure the team's success by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems which include the following: Troubleshooting and repairs Cooperating with and supporting operations Aggressively pursuing process improvements and innovative solutions to challenges Assisting with documentation and training for all equipment Working with teams in any area of our mill Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Fundamental Electrical Theory knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or four year technical degree or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Steel mill experience.
