Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or a DACA recipient.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must keyboard accurately at 45 WPM.
  • Open entry applicants must have five years of full-time general office, clerical, or customer service experience.
  • Promotional applicants must have two consecutive years as a Sheriff's Technical Assistant 2 in the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, schedule, and produce assigned correspondence and reports.
  • Develop and create statistical reports.
  • Supervise and/or lead subordinate staff as needed.
  • Maintain fixed asset inventory and conduct physical inventory checks.
  • Enter invoices into PeopleSoft billing based on contracts for contract cities.
  • Request and maintain files for undercover vehicles.
  • Enforce court actions related to property sales and ensure compliance with legal documents.
  • Balance daily books using Point and Pay system and other revenue submission websites.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting training records and inventory receipts.
  • Coordinate traffic school schedules and maintain class rosters.
  • Monitor traffic complaint lines and assign complaints to appropriate personnel.
  • Process medical payment slips for retirees and prepare reimbursements.
  • Compile and maintain payroll information.
  • Perform duties of acting supervisor during absences of immediate superiors.
  • Record and produce minutes for meetings and maintain schedules for conference rooms.
