About The Position

As the Truckee Navigation Center Manager, you will lead with heart and strategy to create a transformative environment where participants don't just find shelter but discover pathways to lasting stability. Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in social services or a related field is preferred.
Five years of prior supervision experience is required.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
This position requires demonstrated ability in record keeping, good written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of problems unique to reentry, minorities, persons with disabilities, substance abusers the general homeless population.
Must be able to utilize a range of interventions to work with participants with varying needs and levels of functioning.
This position requires CPR and First Aid training within ninety (90) days of employment date and re-certification as necessary and T.B. testing annually.
A valid California Driver’s License and the ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines are required.

Nice To Haves

CAC, CADC, or experience working in alcohol/drug recovery programs is strongly preferred.
Specific knowledge and experience with addiction and recovery, and dysfunctional family dynamics is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and management of all financial and contractual aspects of the program.
Ensure and coordinate all day-to-day operations are conducted and led in a safe and non-judgmental manner.
Serve as the point of contact for partner agencies’ day-to-day needs.
Serve as the point of contact for Good Neighbor Policy.
Coordinate and schedule the collaborative service partners to provide services in the program.
Participate in weekly case conferences with partner agencies.
Support tracking and gathering program data and services in compliance with agency policies, regulatory, and funding source requirements.
Oversee the process of all needs assessments to evaluate each program participant’s medical, physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Confirm that the assessments are conducted on all participants upon entry.
Assist the Operations team in developing and monitoring annual budgets working toward goal achievement.
Provide quality program services within established budgets.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the funding sources.
Refer new funding sources to senior management and assist, as possible, in securing such funds.
Serve as liaison to contract personnel.
Provide all documentation, as needed, to comply with contractual agreements.
Participate in developing community relations and maintain a positive image of the program.
Provide crisis management as needed.
Ensure continuous and ongoing evaluation of services, programming, participant’s progress, staff skills, and related documents and procedures.
Assist in the development and maintenance of approved operations manuals.
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Responsible for the management of all areas of daily operations and activities of the program services in compliance with company policies.
Support the management of all property maintenance, security, and safety concerns that arise daily at the program sites.
Oversee participant placement referrals, ensuring the appropriateness of each placement. g the appropriateness of each placement.
Respond to complaints from contracting agents, participants, property neighbors and all other program-related affiliates.
Ensure accountability and inventory of program equipment and supplies.
Respond to all participant grievances.
Supervise the coordination of all medical, psychological, psychiatric, and /or other necessary evaluations of participants.
Provide 24-hour on-call emergency assistance to participants and staff as necessary.
Responsible for distribution and monitoring of staff’s workloads to achieve established objectives of the department.
Provide assistance in responding to personnel complaints and provides technical expertise to handle exceptions to standard policy.
Identify resources necessary to attain performance standards.
Develop daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules in order to accomplish program objectives.
Maintain ongoing participant contact to ensure that employee performance is in line with participant needs. This includes regular communication with participants, service providers, and external county/state/city program representatives.
Direct available resources as needed.
Assist with daily workloads, if necessary.
Responsible for training, development, and motivation of staff.
Participate in the interviewing and selection of qualified employees.
Establish goals and objectives for staff and evaluate achievements of established goals.
Facilitate department orientation and training for new employees to ensure quality work and employee engagement, taking corrective action as necessary.
Identify appropriate ongoing training for existing staff. Conduct ongoing performance reviews and recommend salary adjustments for staff, when appropriate.
Work with supervisor to provide corrective action for employee performance improvement when necessary.
Maintain above-average working knowledge of fire, safety, and health standards to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.

Attend all mandatory training as assigned.
Attend management team meetings in the absence of the Chief Operations Officer.
Responsible for disseminating information to staff and management on new developments and the status of activities as it applies to the overall company operations.
Inform your supervisor of the status of potential workflow problems, allowing management to assist with workflow needs to meet program objectives and project future staffing needs.
Communicate new and established procedures and company policies to the staff and ensure proper implementation.
Serve as part of the organization management team by providing information and support for developing quality operations.
Maintain professional working relationships with other members of management.
