About The Position

The Shelter Maintenance position performs a wide variety of small-to-medium maintenance, repair, and installation tasks related to bus stop Transit Shelters along with custodial and cleaning services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, or military experience.
  • 1+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Is proficient in listening and oral communication skills; can read & speak English.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Is highly disciplined with ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Has high work standards and attention to detail.
  • Able to competently complete appropriate documentation and reports.
  • Able to operate hand and minor electrical tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Able to use Microsoft Outlook and other internal applications
  • Able to competently complete required math calculations (e.g, add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Able to lift heavy objects and walk / stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with minor building repair a plus.
  • forklift certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes routine maintenance and cleaning of Clear Channel structures and sites.
  • Changing glass, installing glass
  • Disposes of trash/garbage from transit shelter receptacles routinely and weekly
  • Perform general structural maintenance and repairs.
  • Painting shelters, removing graffiti or other product presentation.
  • Reports issues in the field with structures.
  • Uses company-issued equipment/systems to read work instructions and input data upon starting and completion of the jobs
  • Works safely in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policy.
  • Operating a tractor, chain saw, weed eater or other light maintenance equipment.
  • Completes light Branch Facility maintenance, cleaning, carpentry, painting, repairs (e.g., lighting, plumbing), and preventative maintenance.
  • Disposes trash/garbage in accordance with facility and community schedule, assists in inventory control, provides back-up in emergency safety situations, shelter cleaning or bench maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
