About The Position

Start, stop, adjust and monitor the shelling equipment to meet remove hulls, and minimize breakage and product loss; perform routine machine maintenance and check shelling efficiency using standard testing methods.

Must be able to read production orders, print legibly, move heavy weights (up to 60lbs.) frequently throughout shift, climb, work with hand tools at chest level, work in tight spaces and have good close up vision.

Must be able to ride a man lift

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, adjust and monitor the shelling equipment to meet remove hulls, and minimize breakage and product loss
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Check shelling efficiency using standard testing methods
• Follow HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures
• Observe persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor
• Attend training as required or approved by supervisor
• Other duties may be assigned
• Responsible for food safety
• Responsible for plant safety
