About The Position

The Shell Technician position at Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. is a full-time role focused on preparing, maintaining, and testing slurries in a manufacturing environment. The technician will ensure that slurry and sand levels are maintained, operate various tools and equipment, and adhere to safety protocols while performing their duties. This position requires physical strength and dexterity, as well as the ability to multitask and operate robotic equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience performing Mold Prep operations.
• Ability to obtain a lift truck and fork truck license if needed.
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to frequently lift up to 70 lbs.
• Vision requirement of 20/30 near correctable.
• Ability to multitask and operate robots.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and test slurries.
• Ensure slurry and sand levels are maintained.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and cleanliness of robot and associated equipment.
• Perform all department functions including dewax and mold prep.
• Follow all safety requirements as outlined on the job safety card.
• Complete all paperwork associated with the job.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
• Inform the supervisor about problems that occur.
• Handle hazardous waste by collecting and transferring it into proper containers.
• Attend yearly instruction in hazardous waste handling.
