Join our team and enjoy the rewards. Job Description: The Sheetmetal Foreman / Lead Mechanic performs the installation and repair by performing various duties in commercial or public buildings.

Requirements

  • Five years experience in the Sheet Metal field for Lead Mechanic position.
  • Eight years of experience in the Sheet Metal field for Foreman position.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must have essential hand tools expected for trade.
  • Must be dependable and a team player.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership to the field crews and ensure that jobs are completed on schedule - from the layout preparation phase through the final installation and testing.
  • Provide direction and supervision to Lead Mechanics, Mechanics, and Apprentices for installing a comprehensive range of commercial HVAC systems (Sheet Metal) and related equipment as specified by each job and according to the blueprints.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products associated with commercial HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems.
  • Communicate with and schedule subcontractors working on site.
  • Ensure job quality and customer satisfaction are maintained at every project stage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
