About The Position

The Sheetfed Press Operator I is responsible for the setup, troubleshooting, quality checks, and maintenance of the printing machine. This position operates on the 3rd shift (night) and is located in Marceline, MO. The operator will report to the Sheet Press Supervisor and will not have any direct reports. The role includes participation in educational experiences and implementation of improvement ideas as part of Lean expectations.

Requirements

• Able to work alone and able to get along with other people
• Able to work overtime when needed
• Able to lift 70 lbs.
• Self starter
• Mechanical abilities

Responsibilities

• Run press speed capable for job
• Correctly set ink and press for a job
• Recognize any problems with press, ink or paper and correct problems
• Able to maintain press
• Cut stock for jobs to be printed
• Mix ink for a job when needed
• Able to identify different kinds of stock
• Make sure all stock and ink is entered in the covalent
• Pull running samples and file in correct spot
• Follows all required safety procedures, such as: PPEs, Ergonomics, Chemical Hazards, etc.
