As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a Sheet Rock Finisher to our team! The Sheet Rock Finisher is responsible for repairing, finishing, and maintaining drywall surfaces throughout company facilities and other properties. This role supports ongoing maintenance operations, tenant improvements, and repair work by delivering high-quality drywall finishing, patching, and surface restoration with minimal disruption to building occupants. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in drywall finishing, patching, or related construction/maintenance work.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall finishing techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Comfortable performing duties from an elevated height on a ladder, lift, or roof top.
  • Able and willing to be trained on the proper and safe operation of equipment as needed (e.g., Boom Lift).
  • Fluent English-speaking and writing skills are required.
  • Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
  • Must have positive points on state driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
  • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.

Responsibilities

  • Install, tape, mud, and finish drywall.
  • Perform drywall finishing, patching, sanding, and texturing for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Repair holes, cracks, water damage, and general wear in walls and ceilings.
  • Match existing textures, finishes, and paint surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including priming and minor paint touch-ups.
  • Work from maintenance work orders and communicate job status to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests as required.
