Scope of Position This highly motivated individual, as part of the Fabrication department, will be responsible for set-up and operation of complex fabricating machines and equipment. This position will maintain tolerances as specified on blueprints and follow routing sequences. Operates and edits programs for CNC equipment and verify with blueprints and routings. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of sheet metal experience.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and program CNC brake presses, punch presses, and/or Lasers to produce sheet metal components to precise specifications.
  • Operate punch presses with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring consistent part quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine or tooling issues to minimize downtime.
  • Study and interpret blueprints and plans; take precise measurements of materials.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards and maintain specified tolerances.
  • Maintain accountability for the production schedule within the cell.
  • Use ERP systems and job traveler scanning operations proficiently.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and understand department-specific tools and measuring equipment.
  • Consistently meet or exceed productivity expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and new product introductions.
  • Participate effectively in department meetings and collaborate respectfully across teams.
  • Train department employees and assist other departments as needed.
  • Helps support other department functions as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management.
  • Comply with all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Complete necessary certifications for equipment operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards.
  • Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
  • Complete industrial lift truck certifications as needed.
  • Promote a positive and respectful work environment.
