About The Position

The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform skilled sheet metal fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair work on District properties. Requirements

• high school diploma or equivalent
• four (4) year related experience
• journeyman sheet metal certification
• valid driver's license
• PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled sheet metal fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair work to support the maintenance of District facilities.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and other drawings; assists in estimating and planning project materials, costs and labor requirements.
• Installs and/or assists in the installation of sheet metal in duct work, gutter systems, kitchen facilities, HVAC systems and other physical plant components.
• May drive and operate trucks and other vehicles; operates various hand and power tools as necessary to accomplish tasks.
