About The Position

The Structures Technician is responsible for performing aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and inspections in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer data, and company procedures. This role focuses on hands-on repair and fabrication tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and on time in a Part 145 Repair Station environment.

Requirements

  • Experience of performing structural modifications related to antenna and Starlink installations.
  • Ability to interpret Starlink drawings and structural repair data.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft parts, systems, mechanics, and related tools/testing methods.
  • Skilled in reading manuals, troubleshooting, inspections, and performing quality repairs.
  • Detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to superior workmanship.
  • Adaptable and quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator (oral, written, and digital) with solid computer aptitude.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work under pressure with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to hear well enough to test sounds and identify functioning level of aircraft.
  • Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders.
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting, moving, pulling, and pushing objects weighing up to 75 pounds
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with demonstrated hands-on experience supporting aircraft modification or installation projects.
  • Proven experience performing structural modifications, including antenna installations, reinforcements, routing, sealing, and finishing in accordance with approved engineering data.
  • Must have own basic structural tools.
  • Experience with hands-on experience performing aircraft structural maintenance.
  • Experience in heavy maintenance, modifications, skin and frame repair, and composite work on business jets, regional, or commercial aircraft.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations (FAR 43, 145).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and SRM/AMM documentation.
  • Proficient in use of sheet metal tools, precision measurement instruments, and basic fabrication techniques.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.
  • This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe (A) or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Prior experience with Starlink satellite communication system installations on corporate or commercial aircraft.
  • Prior experience with Corridor
  • Candidates with Business Corporate Jet experience will be given priority
  • Scissor Lift Certified (Preferred)
  • Forklift Certified (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, modification, and integration of Starlink satellite communication systems, including antenna mounting, structural reinforcement, routing, and sealing in accordance with approved engineering data.
  • Interpret and execute Starlink-specific installation drawings, engineering orders, service bulletins, and manufacturer instruction.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Avionics, Engineering, Quality Control, and Materials to support project milestones.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of job documentation.
  • Properly use PPE and adhere to company safety practices and FOD prevention protocols.
  • Support internal and customer audits and assist in resolving discrepancies and non-conformances.
  • Report progress, delays, and concerns to the Crew Leads, Senior Crew Leads, or DOM in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
