About The Position

The Sheet Metal Operator position involves basic operations of sheet metal machines, including cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts. Operators are expected to participate in team and shop business problem-solving activities that focus on quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements. The role requires meeting or exceeding annual targets related to safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity. Operators will attend training courses as directed by management and may perform other duties as assigned. A willingness to learn and adherence to company policies and work rules are essential, as is maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent attendance and a positive attitude are also important for success in this role.

Requirements

• Basic Sheet Metal machine operations experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication of whole numbers and fractions)
• Ability to read Production Orders and understand shop drawings
• Familiarity with common hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Understand and properly use tape measure within 1/32”
