About The Position

In this role, you can expect to fabricate, assemble, and repair precision sheet metal components that keep general aviation aircraft flight‑ready. You’ll work hands-on with advanced tools and equipment—cutting, forming, welding, and finishing metal parts—while taking pride in craftsmanship, quality, and safety on every build.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification is required
  • A minimum 2 years of diversified aviation sheet metal experience is required
  • Aircraft Structures & FAA Standards\: Working knowledge of aircraft structural repair manuals and FAA AC 43.13‑1B
  • Corrosion Identification & Treatment\: Ability to identify corrosion types and perform approved corrosion removal procedures
  • Surface Prep & Protective Coatings\: Experience applying and removing wash etch, alodine, and primer
  • Aviation Hardware Knowledge\: Ability to identify and work with aircraft rivets, bolts, screws, nuts, and washers
  • Security Clearance Eligibility\: Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge, as required

Responsibilities

  • Blueprint‑Driven Build Execution\: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions to plan scope, sequences, methods, and materials, ensuring precision and alignment with project requirements
  • Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication\: Lay out, alter, bend, and form sheet metal parts using approved techniques to achieve exact fit, form, and function
  • Drilling, Countersinking, and Dimpling\: Prepare holes across various metals through accurate drilling, deburring, countersinking, and dimpling to support high‑quality fastener installation
  • Advanced Riveting and Fastening\: Install solid and blind rivets using rivet guns, squeeze tools, and specialty fasteners to ensure structural integrity and consistency
  • Component Removal and Rework\: Remove rivets and sheet metal components as needed to support modifications, repairs, and final configuration requirements
  • Aircraft Safety and Quality Standards\: Execute all work to the highest airworthiness, safety, and reliability standards, contributing directly to customer and flight safety
