Position Summary As the Sheet Metal Superintendent , you will take full ownership of the airside mechanical scope , leading field operations for ductwork fabrication and installation. You’ll ensure every system is built to SMACNA standards , delivered safely, and installed on schedule. This role is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in the fast-paced environment of large-scale commercial construction and knows how to guide teams to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience managing commercial sheet metal or HVAC ductwork projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Deep understanding of SMACNA standards and large-scale HVAC installation practices.
  • Physically capable of performing site-related work.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Master HVAC license or equivalent credential preferred.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanGrid .

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct sheet metal crews responsible for ductwork and ventilation system installation.
  • Enforce OSHA 30 and company safety standards on all job sites, especially in elevated work zones.
  • Interpret and verify shop drawings, specifications, and SMACNA-compliant details for accuracy.
  • Coordinate duct layouts and installations with plumbing and piping teams to maintain seamless project flow.
  • Oversee and document daily reports, productivity metrics, and as-built drawings .
  • Mentor foremen and installers, promoting best practices and team efficiency.
  • Work closely with fabrication teams to align prefabrication and field delivery schedules .
