The Sheet Metal Programmer/Scheduler at Vertiv is a critical role that involves programming Trumpf Punch and Brakes to meet production schedules, specifications, and quality requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and the ability to create Bills of Materials (BOMs) for sheet metal components using business software. The programmer/scheduler will support operators and the Production Manager to ensure that products move efficiently through the fabrication process, adhering to quality standards and safety guidelines. In this role, the individual will be responsible for scheduling workloads based on customer orders and maintaining clean and orderly work areas. Troubleshooting defective products and identifying continuous improvement opportunities are essential tasks. The programmer/scheduler will also follow and enforce manufacturing safety guidelines, identify and eliminate safety hazards, and support the Quality System and ISO9001:2008 Registration. Participation in production/custom meetings and Lean Manufacturing initiatives is expected, along with assisting the scheduler with planning and scheduling as needed. Additionally, this position may require providing backup support to the Production Manager in sheet metal operations.
