About The Position

Leer is seeking a detail-oriented Sheet Metal Processor to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fabrication, shaping, bending, and cutting of sheet metal. As a Sheet Metal Processor, you will be responsible for the operations of all metal processing machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently alone, and as a team, in a fast-paced environment while ensuring all quality standards and safety protocols are met.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in reading and using tape measures.
• Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime on a regular basis.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds on a continual basis.
• Manual dexterity to operate hand tools and machinery.
• Ability to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours a day.
• Ability to lift, stand, and bend for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints to create specialty parts.
• Measure, cut and prepare sheet metal per specifications.
• Ensure cut sizes and bends are accurate.
• Operate sheet metal processing machines such as presses, shears, and brakes to shape and form sheet metal.
• Utilize small hand tools such as hammers, drills, metal snips, and notchers to create door accessories.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of assembly tools and equipment.
