About The Position
The Sheet Metal Mechanic Senior is responsible for conducting the installation of metal/board HVAC systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in any types of sheet metal and fiberglass, duct work installation on commercial/residential projects.
- Must have own Sheet Metal hand tools, company supplies power tools.
- Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
- Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 or 30.
Responsibilities
- Assembles and installs metal duct and fiberglass board.
- Blue print reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawings.
- All phases of duct installation (spiral, rectangular, double wall, welded).
- Understanding of different connectors that are used.
- Hanger layout as well as some field measuring.
- Organizes work area and maintains all hand tools.
- Lifts heavy materials at heights.
