Requirements
- 1–3 years of aviation sheet metal or structural mechanic experience
- Must be able to demonstrate proven competency in structural repairs and sheet metal techniques
- Pass plate test
- Pass skills assessments
- High school diploma or GED required
- Fluent in English — ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift upon completion of training as required
- Willing and able to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends
- Regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Frequent hand use; steady hand‑eye coordination
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping
- Ability to work in varied physical positions
- Clear communication and hearing abilities
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal and composite components
- Fabricate, assemble, and rework structural parts
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards
- Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation
- Read and work from engineering drawings and production specifications
