Requirements

  • 1–3 years of aviation sheet metal or structural mechanic experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven competency in structural repairs and sheet metal techniques
  • Pass plate test
  • Pass skills assessments
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Fluent in English — ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift upon completion of training as required
  • Willing and able to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends
  • Regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent hand use; steady hand‑eye coordination
  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping
  • Ability to work in varied physical positions
  • Clear communication and hearing abilities

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal and composite components
  • Fabricate, assemble, and rework structural parts
  • Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards
  • Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and production specifications
