Requirements

Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic in a heavy industrial setting.
Ability to operate press brakes and plate rollers.
Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Knowledge of selecting the correct tooling for various materials.
Experience in setting up and calibrating back gauges.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Operate a Press Brake: Bend up to 3/4" pipe and handle other heavy materials using a press brake.
Plate Rolling: Use plate rollers to roll up to 3/8" thick plates.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints accurately to determine the appropriate tooling and procedures for bending materials.
Tool Selection: Choose the proper tooling for the material being worked on.
Setup and Calibration: Set up and adjust back gauges for accurate bending operations.
