About The Position

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in the commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects, spanning coast to coast, including North Carolina. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market. We are looking to hire several Sheet Metal Workers/Installers to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base and the surrounding area. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the Kings Bay military base. This project will require variable shifts to meet project deadlines and ensure continuous coverage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial or facilities operations setting.
• Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
• Access to SUBASE Kings Bay is limited to United States citizens only.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site.
• Ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes.
• Implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
