About The Position

Since 1996, RQ, LLC has been a key contributor in the commercial and government Design-Build sector. We maintain a strong national presence with active projects across the country. Our field operations teams support project execution on-site throughout the United States. We focus on fast-track new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with an emphasis on Department of Defense work. Position Summary We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Installers to join our Mechanical team for ongoing projects at King's Bay Naval Base, GA and the surrounding area. All work is performed on the military installation and is compensated in accordance with the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base. Sheet Metal Installers are responsible for fabricating and installing ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites. All work must comply with applicable codes and standards. This role requires the technical application of mechanical principles and the use of proper tools and equipment, while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position
  • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial or facilities operations environment is required; government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred
  • Per contract stipulations, access to SUBASE Kings Bay is limited to United States citizens only. Other work authorization statuses cannot be considered for this location

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in High Bay environments and with turning vanes preferred
  • Extensive rigging experience preferred
  • Hoisting certifications preferred
