Summary/Objective: Responsible for the day-to-day operations on assigned mechanical sheet metal tasks. Provides guidance and direction to a HVAC sheet metal crew consisting of journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices/helpers working under him/her. Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained at every project stage. Strong relationship building skills with crew, clients, customers, and vendors to cultivate a positive work environment. In addition to supervisory responsibility, this position is that of a working foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in HVAC sheet metal operations field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Prior experience as a HVAC Sheet Metal foreman
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and lead teams of 8 to 10 individuals, ensuring high productivity, team cohesion, and successful project outcomes
  • Extensive knowledge of all HVAC sheet metal systems installation
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
  • Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Directs the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC sheet metal and related systems, and equipment
  • Studies specifications, BIM Model, contract documents, and schedule to plan procedures for construction including staffing and scheduling for every phase of project
  • Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) throughout a project
  • Responsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks
  • Directs and confers with work force and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
  • Confers with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
  • Attends, as needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned tasks
  • This is skilled supervisory work in directing the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC Sheet Metal and related systems, and equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
