About The Position

We are currently hiring for a Sheet Metal Foreman in Richmond, VA. The ideal sheet metal foreman has 5+ years sheet metal and experience leading a crew of 5 or more. A sheet metal foreman should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as extensive knowledge of sheet metal. Pay begins at $30 - $34 per hour based on experience and skill level.

Requirements

5+ years experience
Experience supervising a crew of 5+
Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently
Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
Ability to pass drug and background check
Your OWN reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all sheet metal fabrication and installation
Supervisor and direct sheet metal mechanics to ensure adherence to safety protocols, timely completion of work, and maintenance of high-quality standards
Read, interpret, and ensure compliance with blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Plan and prioritize work to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication and installation processes
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients regarding project progress and issues
Troubleshoot on-site issues related to sheet metal systems and resolve problems efficiently
Oversee the measuring, cutting, bending, and forming of metal components to exact specifications
Supervise the installation of sheet metal components, including fittings, ducts, and other systems.
Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project specifications
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents
Provide guidance and training to team members to improve skills and safety awareness
