About The Position

A typical welder/fabricator position requires four years of welding experience; or completion of an accredited two year welder's training program and two years of welding experience; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education. Possession of a current driver's license or state-issued ID is required.

Requirements

• Four years of welding experience; or completion of an accredited two year welder's training program and two years of welding experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Possession of a current driver's license or state-issued ID.
• Knowledge of welding techniques (Electric Arc, MIG and TIG), tools and equipment.
• Basic fabrication and layout skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates iron worker, power shears, grinders, metal forming equipment and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
• Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding assignments.
• Recommends supplies and materials to be ordered.
