About The Position

The Sheetmetal Fabricator is responsible for cutting, forming and finishing sheet metal according to print requirements. This position is for someone who is hands on, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision. Operate safely at all times by following company procedures and alerting management to potential hazards. Fabricate sheet metal parts to specification using forming, cutting, sanding, tapping, and countersinking techniques. Interpret both metric and imperial prints and use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality. Inspect finished parts for defects and compliance with specifications, performing basic equipment maintenance as needed. Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure clear communication across shifts. Drive continuous improvement by contributing innovative solutions to reduce cost and lead times for low-volume production.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience laser cutting and forming sheet metal with an associates or vocational degree in a related technical field OR have an overall combination of at least 3+ years of both education/training and work experience.
  • Experience with laser cutting and/or press brake fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Proficient in the use of imperial and metric units of measure.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Willingness to work overtime, as required.
