The Sheetmetal Fabricator is responsible for cutting, forming and finishing sheet metal according to print requirements. This position is for someone who is hands on, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision. The role involves operating safely at all times by following company procedures and alerting management to potential hazards. The fabricator will fabricate sheet metal parts to specification using forming, cutting, sanding, tapping, and countersinking techniques. They will interpret both metric and imperial prints and use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality. Inspecting finished parts for defects and compliance with specifications, performing basic equipment maintenance as needed, and collaborating with the team to maintain a clean, organized workspace are also key responsibilities. The position encourages driving continuous improvement by contributing innovative solutions to reduce cost and lead times for low-volume production.
