About The Position
This role supports a metal fabrication environment, operating CNC equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components. The position involves hands-on machine operation, quality checks, and material handling while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
Requirements
- Comfortable using computers to operate production equipment
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and attendance record
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs
- Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience operating or setting up CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and other precision instruments
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery to bend and form sheet metal components
- Use automated equipment to install hardware into metal parts
- Perform spot welding to assemble metal components
- Set up, clean, and maintain tooling and work areas
- Inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy
- Maximize production output while maintaining quality standards
- Handle materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual methods
- Count, organize, and stack completed products
- Remove burrs and sharp edges from finished parts
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Follow all workplace procedures, safety guidelines, and instructions
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
