About The Position

Summary: Operates machine equipped with opposing circular blades (one mounted above other) to shear metal plates and sheets to specified circular and curved dimensions by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Sets up and operates one or more types of power shears to shear materials to specified dimensions or to perform operations involving angular cuts. Setups may include programming of a CNC back bar and/or use of computer material optimization programs Works with shop drawings, layout markings, etc. Selects and uses material to avoid excessive scrap Pick up and slide sheets of metal and align to the machine Who We Are: G.A. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General math skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
