About The Position

Are you the SHE leader who can turn commitment into daily action? If you excel at building programs that protect people and the environment, this role is for you. You’ll report to the Plant Manager and guide a proactive Safety, Health, and Environmental strategy that reflects Pactiv Evergreen’s (PTVE) policies and satisfies all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The challenge Transform a strong commitment into measurable results by steering the SHE Pillar within the Pactiv Evergreen Production System (PEPs). You will codify standards, coach leaders, and ensure compliance—while advancing a culture of Zero Harm. What you will do Create, refine, and implement SHE policies, procedures, and programs across the plant. Deploy PTVE Environmental, Health & Safety Management Technical Standards. Lead the plant safety scope of internal and third-party regulatory audits and close gaps. Keep OSHA/EPA written programs current; design and deliver training for teams and management. Oversee incident reporting and investigations for injuries, accidents, and safety/health issues. Perform water sampling and outfall inspections to maintain environmental compliance. Spot opportunities for improvement, build practical solutions, and implement change that sticks. Drive a Zero Harm culture through consistent communication, training, and reinforcement. Develop and roll out best-practice policies/programs; capture and share wins across the PTVE system. Provide clear communication, reporting, assessments, and guidance to plant leadership. Work closely with Corporate EHS and direct engineering teams/contractors on prioritized EHS projects. Rally the local team to meet corporate, business unit, and site-level SHE performance goals. Analyze performance data to target the next wave of improvements. Leverage employee engagement, behavior-based safety, and robust risk assessments to implement, manage, and sustain SHE programs in a manufacturing setting.
