About The Position

Assists patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated patient population. Assists with the leadership of the Nursing and Patient Service Representative staff. Serves as technical nursing expert for assigned areas.

Requirements

• Education as required by the California Board of Nursing.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare).
• 1 Year RN experience in related clinical area.

Nice To Haves

• Leadership experience.
• ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
• Allergy injection experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, staff, and physicians to maintain operational efficiency and customer service.
• Provide quality care to the designated patient population.
• Assist with the leadership of Nursing and Patient Service Representative staff.
• Serve as technical nursing expert for assigned areas.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in assigned area.
• Prepare patients for examination or procedure.
• Obtain complete and accurate consent for procedures/surgery.
• Accurately document patient care per protocol.
• Partner with physicians to expand clinical knowledge base.
• Return phone calls according to physician instruction.
• Schedule patient appointments in partnership with physicians.
• Provide specific educational material and individual teaching.
• Ensure prompt and efficient return of messages according to established policy.
• Monitor patient flow and physician schedules.
• Participate in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.
• Assist with training and education of new and existing staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable medications.
• Complete Quality Assurance assignments and ensure department compliance.
