About The Position

Growth Acceleration Partners seeks a SharePoint Solutions Architect (Power Automate SME) to support a top tier global PE firm. In this role, you will serve as the enterprise authority bridging the gap between technical execution and business needs by designing scalable, secure, and maintainable SharePoint and Power Platform solutions. Work directly with PE ops leaders on high stakes transformations architecting enterprise SharePoint / Power Platform solutions for portfolio acceleration. This is a true architecture role—not a SharePoint Administrator and not just a Senior Developer. You will act as the technical authority for SharePoint-based solutions, defining best practices, guiding solution design, and ensuring business teams leverage SharePoint and Power Automate effectively and safely. A successful candidate brings strong architectural judgment, confidence, and ownership, serving as a trusted advisor who can both design solutions and explain them clearly to non-technical audiences. Note: This role does not own infrastructure or tenant administration (handled by a separate team) or focus on delivering tickets alone. This role exists to: Architect solutions. Define standards and best practices. Guide business and technical teams. Drive clarity, adoption, and long-term scalability.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Online architecture and customization.
  • Strong experience designing solutions using Power Automate (critical).
  • Understanding of Azure Logic Apps foundations behind Power Automate.
  • Solid background in .NET / C# for supporting services, integrations, or custom logic.
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API and REST integrations.
  • Strong understanding of governance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to clearly communicate architectural decisions to business and technical audiences.
  • Experience with PE portfolio ops, fund admin automation, or compliance heavy environments (SOC2, GDPR).
  • You thrive explaining complex architecture to C-suite and enforcing governance without stifling innovation.
  • Strong executive presence and confidence.
  • High ownership mindset—comfortable being the “go-to” authority.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance enablement with governance.
  • Comfortable with challenging ideas and guiding teams toward better solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise application development.
  • 4+ years designing/delivering SharePoint Online solutions in financial services, PE, or regulated industries.
  • Proven experience in solution architecture, not limited to development or administration.
  • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Power Apps (Canvas or Model-driven).
  • Azure services (Functions, App Services, Key Vault).
  • Experience building automation enablement frameworks for business users.
  • Experience working with financial services or private equity organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and platform owners to architect custom SharePoint solutions powered primarily by Power Automate (Azure Logic Apps), enabling automation at scale while maintaining governance, reliability, and clarity.
  • Own the end-to-end architecture of SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
  • Design custom SharePoint solutions using Power Automate (Logic Apps based) as the core automation engine.
  • Define solution patterns, governance models, and architectural standards.
  • Evaluate business requirements and determine when low-code, custom development, or hybrid approaches are appropriate.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, auditable, and maintainable.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Power Automate best practices.
  • Architect complex Power Automate flows that support enterprise-grade SharePoint solutions.
  • Define standards for flow design, error handling, monitoring, and performance.
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate Power Automate with custom .NET/C# services where needed.
  • Act as a technical partner to the business, translating needs into clear automation opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of Power Automate among citizen developers while enforcing guardrails.
  • Create a best practices playbook, reference architectures, and a demo portfolio showcasing what can be automated, how it should be built, what should be avoided
  • Educate stakeholders on automation capabilities, limitations, and trade-offs.
  • Review solution designs and implementations for quality and architectural alignment.
  • Mentor developers and business power users on best practices.
  • Provide clear guidance and decision-making in ambiguous or complex scenarios.
  • Bring confidence, ownership, and authority to architectural discussions
