MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Data Analyst Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following: Create, refine, deliver, and support dashboards and reports in Power BI Manage data repositories and resources in SharePoint Ensure effective and efficient user access to dashboards, reports, and data in SharePoint Assist and support Power Apps and Power Automate development and integration Structure and transform raw data into a format suitable for analysis within Power BI, often using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) functions Collaborate with dashboard developers in designing visually appealing and interactive dashboards that allow users to filter, drill down, and explore data insights Collaborate with report developers in building detailed reports with appropriate visualizations (charts, graphs, tables) to communicate key metrics and trends. Optimize queries and data refreshes Provide data analytics and key insights to internal and external stakeholders Highlight and define performance indicators Compose user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and retrospectives to improve Agile development processes Participate in and support user acceptance testing and production deployments Prepare training materials and conduct presentations Create and maintain all relevant documentation Conduct market research and help define best practices for decision-making based on industry standards May serve as a project or task lead as necessary May mentor and serve as a subject-matter expert for junior staff when necessary WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. Requirements

  • Deep experience with Power BI and related business intelligences tools and practices
  • Experience with using SharePoint sites, document libraries, and lists to support data sharing and collaboration.
  • Proficiency with data source connectivity, including on-prem and cloud-based sources (SQL Server, SharePoint, Azure, et al.)
  • Strong Excel background; familiarity with other M365 products
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs
  • Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) for data transformation and shaping
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical issues into clear, actionable guidance
  • Understanding of ETL Processes, data pipelines, and data integrity best practices
  • Ability to present data points effectively and concisely to stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide subject-matter expertise to other analysts
  • CompTia Security+
  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret or higher clearance
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities
