About The Position

Connsci is seeking a SharePoint Online Training Lead / Instructional Designer / Facilitator to design and deliver role-based SharePoint Online training in support of one of our federal customers. This role supports a federal workforce enablement initiative focused on improving collaboration, information management, and operational consistency across Microsoft 365 environments. The individual will serve as the primary training resource responsible for discovery, curriculum design, and instructor-led delivery for both End User and Site Owner / Administrator audiences. This position will work on a part time (1099) basis and will be compensated for discovery and training readiness (hourly) and then paid per training session delivered. All work can be performed remotely and all materials, assets, etc. required for the role will be provided by Connsci/the agency. In this role, you can expect to: Lead discovery and planning activities to assess SharePoint Online usage, user roles, training needs, and operational constraints. Design and develop SharePoint Online training curricula aligned to End User and Site Owner / Administrator learning objectives . Develop reusable training materials, including slide decks, job aids, and reference guides tailored to federal users. Deliver instructor-led virtual training sessions for End Users and Site Owners/Admins using Microsoft Teams. Translate complex SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 concepts into clear, practical, and role-appropriate instruction. Demonstrate SharePoint Online capabilities including site navigation, document libraries, versioning, permissions, lists, pages, and integration with Teams and OneDrive. Incorporate real-world scenarios and best practices aligned to agency workflows and governance considerations. Facilitate live Q&A sessions and address participant questions during training delivery. Update training content as needed to reflect platform changes, policy updates, or feedback from OIG stakeholders. Coordinate with project management staff to support scheduling, session logistics , and delivery timelines. Provide post-session documentation and recordings to support ongoing workforce adoption and reference.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience translating technical platforms into clear, user-focused training content.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing reusable training content and job aids for large federal user populations.
  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness and incorporating feedback to improve delivery and outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and delivering technical or IT training in federal or highly regulated environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
  • At least 2 years of e xperience delivering virtual, instructor-led training using collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal government contract requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft 365 or SharePoint Online certification (e.g., MS-900, MS-700, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience supporting federal organizations.
  • Experience designing role-based training for End Users and Site Owners or Administrators.
  • Familiarity with federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, FISMA) as they relate to collaboration and information management.
