About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Migration and Power Platform Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This critical role will aid our transition from an on-premises SharePoint 2019 environment to SharePoint Online. While the migration of existing content is essential, the primary focus of this role will be on redesigning and rebuilding our extensive catalog of custom-built team sites directly within SharePoint Online, leveraging the full capabilities of the Power Platform (specifically Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SharePoint, exceptional proficiency with the Power Platform, a strong understanding of migration best practices, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence one day per week or as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SharePoint administration and migration.
Proven, extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying complex custom solutions within SharePoint Online using SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate.
Proven experience in migrating complex SharePoint environments from on-premises to SharePoint Online.
Extensive knowledge of SharePoint Online features and capabilities.
Experience with migration tools.
Experience migrating Custom applications.
Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, security, and governance.
Experience with SharePoint administration and migration.
Experience with Azure Entra ID.
Exceptional proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of modern SharePoint frameworks and development.
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate).

Responsibilities

Custom Team Site Rebuilding and Development o Lead the re-creation and enhancement of complex, custom-built team sites within SharePoint Online, focusing on modern SharePoint experiences.
Design, develop, and implement robust solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform to create dynamic and user-friendly interfaces for custom business processes.
Automate workflows and integrate systems using Power Automate to streamline operations and enhance efficiency within the new SharePoint Online environment.
Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into effective, scalable SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions.
Ensure all new custom solutions adhere to best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
Migration Planning and Strategy: o Conduct a comprehensive assessment of our existing on-premises SharePoint environment, including team sites, publishing sites, custom applications, and data.
Develop a detailed migration plan, outlining timelines, resources, and potential risks.
Migration Execution: o Perform the migration of SharePoint content, including lists, libraries, pages, and workflows, to SharePoint Online.
Migrate and configure custom applications, ensuring compatibility with the SharePoint Online environment.
Utilize appropriate migration tools and techniques to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
Address and resolve any migration-related issues or errors.
Testing and Validation: o Conduct thorough testing of the migrated environment to ensure functionality, performance, and data accuracy.
Validate the migration against defined requirements and user acceptance criteria.
Document migration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
User Training and Support: o Provide training and support to end-users on the new SharePoint Online environment.
Develop user documentation and guides.
Address user inquiries and resolve post-migration issues.
