About The Position

Lead a strategic redesign of our intranet presence, manage one additional developer, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to establish a clear, sustainable governance model. You’ll blend UX sensibility, hands-on development, and delivery leadership to modernize how employees discover content, collaborate, and get work done. Assess & Redesign the Intranet Audit current SharePoint sites, information architecture, navigation, permissions, and page performance. Translate business goals and user needs into a modern, accessible intranet experience (templates, hubs, navigation, search, and personalization). Develop wireframes and page mockups; iterate with stakeholders; implement approved designs. Deliver & Lead Plan and execute the intranet redesign roadmap, milestones, and release plan. Manage and mentor one developer; allocate work, perform code/design reviews, and ensure quality. Establish development standards, branching/PR practices, and release management for SharePoint solutions. Governance & Stakeholder Management Facilitate workshops to define site ownership, lifecycle, content standards, permissions, and archival policies. Create a governance framework (policies, RACI, intake process, SLA, training materials) for ongoing site management. Partner with Comms/HR/IT/security to align content strategy, compliance, and branding. Define KPIs (adoption, search success, content freshness) and implement reports/dashboards to track outcomes. Build & Configure Design and implement sites, pages, and components using SharePoint Online features (modern sites, hub sites, site scripts), with custom theming aligned to brand. Configure search, navigation, audience targeting, and Viva Connections/Dashboard (if in scope). Create forms, workflows, and light business apps using Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps) where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of FIVE (5+) years designing and developing SharePoint solutions (preferably MS365 modern experience).
  • Selected Candidate must be able to work in a hybrid environment and, based on client needs, may be required to work onsite up to five days per week.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
  • US Citizenship is contractually required.
  • Design & IA: Proven ability to structure intranet information architecture, navigation, content types, page layouts, and web parts with a strong UX mindset.
  • SharePoint Expertise: Modern sites, hub sites, permissions, site templates, lists/libraries, content types, managed metadata.
  • Search configuration (result sources, verticals, refiners) and audience targeting.
  • Development & Configuration: Client-side customization using SPFx (React), TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Fluent UI.
  • Power Automate for workflow/orchestration; Power Apps for simple business apps/forms.
  • Governance & Operations: Demonstrated experience defining governance models (roles, processes, policies), content lifecycle, and change management.
  • Leadership: Experience guiding or managing other developers and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Delivery Skills: Roadmapping, backlog management, sprint execution, and clear documentation.
  • Communication: Excellent facilitation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Security & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of permissions, data protection, and audit needs within M365/Entra ID (Azure AD).

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, Change management experience.
  • Brand & Accessibility: Strong grasp of accessible design (WCAG 2.1 AA), design systems, and brand theming for SharePoint.
