Reporting to the Recruiting Operations Supervisor and working very closely with the NANA North Shared Services Recruiting Team, the Recruiting Outreach Coordinator will work with NANA shareholders to assist and advise them in becoming prepared and qualified for employment opportunities that align with their skills, abilities, and career interests. This role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with NANA shareholders, NANA companies and NANA communities to proactively support shareholder hire, employment, development and recruitment efforts. This position will be based in the NANA Region and will focus primarily on in-region recruitment efforts. The Recruiting Outreach Coordinator can be based in NANA's Corporate Office in Kotzebue, AK, or, upon review and company approval, may be based in one of NANA's village offices within the region.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of post-secondary education and at least three (3) years of varied HR, recruiting or staffing or related admin support experience. Willing to consider additional experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and post-offer physical assessment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier (clear three-year record with no DUI's in the past five years).
  • Willingness to travel for recruitment events, career fairs, and community outreach activities.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a flexible, solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop compelling messages and interact professionally with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, shareholders, and external partners.
  • Must type at least 50 words per minute.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Skills testing will be administered and evaluated as part of the interview and selection process.
  • Must have ATS (applicant tracking systems) experience, experience working with iCIMS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to NANA shareholders by helping them identify career opportunities and offering guidance on how to prepare and qualify for positions that match their skills, abilities, and interests.
  • Leverage a variety of recruitment strategies, including computer databases, networking, internet resources, cold calls, media, employee referrals, and other channels to identify both active and passive shareholder candidates for job openings.
  • Build rapport with shareholders and refer them to NANA North companies and NANA Corporate recruiters for potential employment opportunities, ensuring alignment with their qualifications and interests.
  • Promote NANA and NANA North Companies as an employer of choice by educating potential shareholder candidates on the organization's career opportunities, strengthening NANA's reputation as a preferred employer.
  • Collaborate in the development and production of communication materials for NANA job opportunities, evaluating the effectiveness of messaging to ensure it resonates with potential candidates and encourages engagement.
  • Participate in regional recruitment events, career fairs, shareholder meetings, and other key initiatives to promote job opportunities and engage with shareholders.
  • Support and advocate for NANA's shareholder preference policy throughout the recruitment process, ensuring that shareholder candidates are prioritized in line with company values.
  • Provide essential administrative support to the recruitment department, including handling incoming and outgoing calls, troubleshooting iCIMS issues for shareholders, and managing correspondence.
  • May assist in the hiring process by conducting phone screens, administering skills assessments, preparing offer letters, and ensuring a smooth transition for candidates. May assist with onboarding functions as needed.
  • Work closely with NANA North Recruiters to facilitate iCIMS requests, manage requisitions, and ensure smooth processes for candidate selection and onboarding. Participate in regular recruiting department meetings, projects and other related HR meetings.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and interview data within iCIMS, ensuring it is organized and up to date for future reference.
  • Support recruitment marketing campaigns and initiatives aimed at attracting high-quality candidates, ensuring that they align with organizational goals.
  • Research and recommend new sourcing methods and channels for candidate recruitment, continually seeking innovative ways to attract qualified shareholder candidates.
  • In partnership with the Recruiting Operations Supervisor, participate in the weekly in-region SRC calls to actively promote employment opportunities and encourage shareholder participation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department's recruitment and outreach objectives.
