About The Position

The Sealaska Summer Cyber Security internship will prepare individuals to have a strong baseline understanding of both defensive and offensive cyber security operations. This program will introduce you to Vulnerability Management, Security Operations Center operations, threat hunting, and penetration testing. Please note, there will be 2 interns hired for this role.

Requirements

• Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years old at time of hire.
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or vocational training program or a recent graduate.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with both Offensive and Defense Cyber Security roles.
• Demonstrate the capability to recognize, exploit, and mitigate vulnerabilities that are common to enterprise environments.
• Conduct Defensive Operations and Respond to a simulated Cyber Security Incident.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
