About The Position

The Shared Services People Business Partner at Aon is a strategic role focused on enhancing the effectiveness of the People organization within Global Shared Services, including Finance, Legal, and MarComm. This position is designed to create a positive impact for colleagues and clients by fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and connection. The role involves partnering with leadership teams to translate business goals into actionable people strategies, ensuring effective talent management, and driving engagement across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional HR experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in organizational effectiveness, HR strategy, performance management, conflict management, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Proven relationship management skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of US employment laws and current People trends.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify key trends/themes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a business partner or specialist role within HR/People organizations.
  • Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Influence, coach, and counsel leaders on people-related matters to foster a strong culture of inclusion and accountability.
  • Translate business goals into recommendations for improving operating models and team effectiveness.
  • Develop workforce plans to meet budgetary goals and optimize talent utilization.
  • Cultivate partnerships with Centers of Excellence to design strategic solutions for engagement and performance.
  • Embed inclusion into talent processes and coach leaders on inclusive leadership practices.
  • Ensure annual cycle activities translate to favorable outcomes in retention, engagement, and performance management.
  • Facilitate communication and change management in partnership with COEs.
  • Lead special projects that drive value for the firm.
