About The Position

The Shared Services Manager provides leadership and supervision to a team of non-exempt Coordinators, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of key financial functions such as accounts payable and receivable. This role is part of a centralized Shared Services model, which consolidates transactional and administrative support across the organization to drive consistency, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong managerial skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance team development with operational demands. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate effective time management and decision-making abilities.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred (not limited to Accounting) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing direct reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback constructively.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with non-exempt employees.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and support Shared Services initiatives, including the creation and maintenance of tools and resources that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor team performance, assess available capacity, and identify training needs. Conduct one-on-one meetings and team meetings to provide timely and professional feedback, addressing deficiencies and promoting continuous development.
  • Evaluate workflows and recommend improvements to increase effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Partner with accounting teams and other departments to resolve issues and ensure cohesive operations.
  • Track team performance and progress of initiatives. Present updates to leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, compliance standards, and internal controls.
  • Lead departmental projects and participate on relevant committees, driving initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required to support departmental and organizational success.
