Requirements

  • BS Degree in Business—Finance, Accounting and or Tax preferred.
  • 0-5 years in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of General Accounting, GAAP, and Internal Control compliance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal and external customer services.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and create a dynamic work environment that fosters teamwork
  • Highly proficient, results oriented, core accounting knowledge as demonstrated thru progressive job or project responsibilities.
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
  • Ability to establish and maintain personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering tasks.
  • Ability to effectively move the SSC in a positive direction and implement new policies and procedures as needed
  • 20% Travel required to service the entities in Brazil, Mexico and the US.
  • Fluent in English, additional language beneficial (Spanish/Portuguese preferred).
  • In order to conform with U.S. government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

  • General Ledger Accounting for entities in Brazil, Mexico, United States and Canada
  • Completes various tasks related to month end closing and year end closing.
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Become knowledgeable of the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, to be a periodic backup as needed.
  • May assist in training others.
